The South East BKKS are a friendly club with a long history. Based in the South Eastern corner of England, our membership comes from the counties of Kent in the East, Berkshire to the West, West Sussex to the South, and all the counties in between. We even have a few members from across the river (Thames) in Essex, as far North(West) as Stockport in Cheshire and a few more across the Channel in Belgium and the Netherlands.
The aim of the section is to provide a convivial environment dedicated to promoting the hobby of Koi Keeping in the South East of England.
The aims of the club are to promote and encourage the hobby of Koi Fish Keeping within the Section's area and to aid fellow members where possible.
Throughout the year club members open their ponds and gardens to other members for the advancement of the hobby. Members and their families also enjoy arranged trips to visit other Sections and Societies. Other social events included Barbeques and our Christmas Dinner & Dance.
We meet at All Saints Church Hall, Hambledon Road, Denmead, on the second Wednesday of each month, at 8pm, when we normally have a guest speaker on a Koi related topic.
At these Club Nights members are able to purchase good quality food and other essential goods at discounted prices from our Section Shop. Members find that the considerable savings on shop prices more than equal the membership fee within a very short time of joining.
Whether you're a gardening expert or a novice, we cover all aspects of pond construction, maintenance and wildlife.
If you are interested in keeping Koi, and want to learn more, then we may be the group for you.
Our website has been created by Koi Keepers, for Koi Keepers, and while we hope to use it to let you know about our club and it's activities, as well as it's members ponds and fish, we also hope to interact with and learn from all the visitors who pass through here.
